A severe winter storm is expected to bring a glaze of ice, dangerously cold temperatures, and potentially a foot of snow to Oklahoma starting Friday.

Along with the winter storm warning, which was announced on Thursday, Memphis will also be under a cold weather advisory this weekend. From 6 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Sunday, the winter weather advisory will be in effect, and residents are warned to limit time spent outside if possible.

The weather forecast shows a major winter storm could hit Boston this weekend with heavy snow.

Dry weather hangs on through most of Saturday as well before the winter storm arrives late day. Sleet and snow will start up by at least Saturday evening (some may fall in spots by the late afternoon out west.) Not expecting any big travel issues until we get into Saturday night as the deeper moisture arrives.
